Actify Inc releases Centro 5.1 powered by ShapeSpace Multi-CAD search technology

June 2012: Actify Inc released Centro 5.1 powered by ShapeSpace Ltd’s Multi-CAD search technology. Centro is a viewing solution for Product Data which resides in a business in different silos and systems, Anywhere. Searching for this Data is problematic and traditionally has required high investment in software licences for CAD PDM PLM ERP and even CRM.

Centro monitors silos and systems and a users can search the results with a low cost viewer. The search results can then be output in many output formats e.g 3D PDF, or similarly to Sharepoint or a symantic search solution. The search includes assemblies and a catalogue can be automatically produced. Authorised CAD files can have Product Data automatically uploaded to ERP, reducing input errors.
